Literature Text

Verse 1:

I see you under sheets
Hoping you will be alright
See you in the morning
Hope you sleep okay tonight
If we never meet again
For the rest of your short life.
Well, I wish I said goodbye.

And I know it seems crazy
These visits seem routine
We forget that theres a reason
Our meets aren't filled with glee.

(Chorus)
But these white sheets will hold you in the warmth
Until its time to let you know
That these white walls will grasp the memories
Of this loss when you go.
And it seems so wrong
You're smiling through it all.
While I'm crying, yet again.

Verse 2:
Talking like its normal
Just another day
Ask you how your feeling.
You say your just okay.
And I know that you aren't fine
I see it through your eyes
Yes, I see through all the lies.

And I know its too bizarre
But its gone just way to far
Never knowing if your living
Or simply making it by.

Chorus x1

Bridge:
I prayed so hard
Hoping it would work
If I had one wish
It would be to say goodbye.
Goodbye.

Chorus x2

While I'm crying, Now I'm saying

Goodbye.

I wrote this about my aunt. Hope you enjoyed.
